I’m focused on supporting ESUK to deliver some of its current grant-funded projects, as well as scaling our support services for asset owners and landlords to outcome-led retrofit at scale and within budget.
I work with housing providers, building firms, supply chain and policymakers to tackle the sector’s biggest barriers – unlocking real-world performance, providing a strong financial case and stimulating innovation.
This includes leading on our involvement with the Mayor of London’s Zero Carbon Accelerator, a new programme that will transform the organisations’ ability to decarbonise and meet London’s net zero target by 2030.
I’ve got more than 18 years of experience in sustainability in the built environment sector, specialising in UK housing; much of which I was leading the consultancy services for award-winning sustainability consultancy and environmental charity Bioregional.
I’ve previously worked with housing associations, local authorities, estates and asset owners to develop sustainability solutions to existing and new build homes and buildings. I’ve also led a number of grant funded research projects in this area.
I’m a certified Retrofit Co-ordinator, trained in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings, hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Housing and City Planning, an MSc in Design for Sustainability, and a BSc in Physics and Philosophy.
I was lucky enough to work across a number of areas of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park including reclamation audits that led to retention of the Kings Yard Warehouse and reclamation of 7 steel frames and 1,600 tonnes of heritage materials. I was also part of the team that made the Media Hub one of the greenest projects on the park; and I am delighted to see it still be used in its legacy form, with over 6,500 people now working and studying in the buildings that once broadcast the London 2012 Olympics to the world.
